Developer Thomas Jurbala of Las Vegas Enjoys Various Hobbies
Thomas Jurbala (Las Vegas)
Thomas Jurbala, a leading real estate developer in Las Vegas, enjoys a wide range of hobbies. He supports the Alzheimer’s Association and American Lung Association and is an active member of both the Loyola Alumni Association and Purdue Alumni Association. An avid ice hockey player, he participates in four 35-and-older leagues and plays at the AB level. Every Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday he plays ice hockey, and he visits Hawaii every April to play, as well. Thomas Jurbala enjoys cooking and is particularly fond of vegetables and barbecue cuisine. Although he is based in Las Vegas, he enjoys traveling to such destinations as Brazil and Spain and supports the Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Bears professional sports teams.
Professionally, Jurbala serves as the director of senior housing for the Calida Group. He has held this position since 2015 and is responsible for the development and acquisition of senior living, assisted living, and memory care facilities in the Las Vegas area. Prior to joining the Calida Group, Thomas Jurbala had spent more than two decades working in the real estate development field. He was the owner of Red Vistas Development and was involved in the development of more than a dozen senior housing facilities, six hotels, and seven residential projects. A graduate of Purdue University, he completed the executive business program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and earned an MBA from Loyola Marymount University.
